May Day Events Saturday May 3 2008 Assemble under Union Banner at rally site from 0900 hrs Where: Darling Harbour, Convention Centre (near Olympic monument) Contact the Union office tomorrow Friday 2nd May if you want a Union T shirt. Community Rally against Electricity Privatisation 0930 hrs Outside the NSW ALP State Conference. Tell the Iemma Government – No! Last chance to: stop the sell off stop jobs going offshore prevent higher prices prevent less reliable supply May Day March commences at 1030 from rally site The May Day March will commence at 10:30am following a route around Darling Harbour, finishing at the commencing point and will be followed by the traditional May Day Rally. There is no vehicular access to March route this year. The FBEU contingent will be lead by our usual Pipe & Drum band. FBEU after event Family Function The traditional FBEU May Day Function will follow the May Day March and rally with our Union’s contingent moving as a group to a pleasant location to enjoy a sit down lunch and refreshments with other firefighters in a family atmosphere.
